Unlocking the Benefits of Reading in Korean

There are some areas which we need to understand while studying Korean:

  • IMPROVE VOCABULARY AND GRAMMAR UNDERSTANDING:

When we talk about reading practice it’s really essential to consider the importance of vocabulary and grammar. There are some resources you can go for.

1: Good job Korean:

Good job Korean

This is one of the best resources I will recommend to use. They provide a number of grammatical structures which are not only simple but gradually the level increases according to your comfort zone. They have an interesting topic like “Blind Date” 소개팅. This will also help you to have an idea of Korea dating culture. At the end of the video they have a practice quiz where you have to solve multiple choice questions.

My Suggestion:

I am personally using their website these days. I will suggest you start from level 1, although they will provide you access to other levels. One thing which I definitely want to mention is that videos are short but levels are lengthy. So it will take time to complete.

 2: Story Korean:

This is another resource for grammar and vocabulary practice:

Story Korean ( intermediate)

This website is for intermediate learners.

This is how the details look like. They provide you with a numbering system so you can go through them one by one.

Also there is a Digital Certificate which you can get after completing the course.

  • ENHANCED READING COMPREHENSION AND SPEED:

The point which should be considered is the speed that native Koreans have. Being a non-native speaker we need to match that level for higher understanding in language. Sometimes It becomes a challenge to match at speed. So here are some useful resources which will help you to get through it.

1: Korean study junkie

This website is like a story telling type. Different stories with different cultural aspects are written here.

But you can find different handwritten notes online. Pinterest” is my suggestion. Must check this app.

This is how the different fonts which are actually handwritten will look like. And they are easy to find on the internet.

My suggestion:

It’s good to explore different styles but always try to write on your own. Make your own handwritten notes. Share them with your fellow learners and keep on checking them also. This is a productive and easily achievable method to explore different handwritings.

  • CULTURE INSIGHTS AND DEEPER CONNECTION WITH KOREAN SOCIETY:

This is an interesting factor to have a conversation. Let’s get into it.

When you are exploring a different culture it’s really important to have a deeper connection with society. Now

How can we have a deeper connection with Korean society?

In my opinion

  • Explore people, their point of views.

  • Their daily life conversations and work they do.

Here are some resources you can check them.✔️
